Chaplain contacted by Oregon law enforcement to notify next of kin of possible death of male person from vehicle accident and resultant fire. Vehicle was registered to local person. The wife of the registered owner was contacted but it was determined that the vehicle had been sold years earlier and title was never registered with the new owner.
Residential house fire. Chaplain on scene worked with family during fire and confirmed that they had a place to stay for the night.
Natural death in home. Chaplain was with family member during law enforcement and coroner investigations. Remained on scene until deceased was removed from residence.
Request by sheriff’s office from another county for notification to mother of the death of her son. Chaplain contacted family, located the mother and notified her of death.
